Consistency is the hallmark of a true athlete. In a proud moment for the entire Jagdale Sports Foundation (JSF) and Trinity Sports Academy family, Vivaan Hansalia has been appointed as the Captain of the Maharashtra U14 Team for the second consecutive year.
Vivaan will lead the state side in the upcoming U14 West Zone Tournament in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where Maharashtra will compete against formidable state associations including Mumbai, Gujarat, Saurashtra, and Baroda.
A Legacy of Dominance
Retaining the captaincy is a testament to Vivaan’s tactical acumen and his ability to lead from the front. His appointment follows a stellar 2024-25 season where his outstanding all-round performance earned him the prestigious U14 Maharashtra Player of the Year award. He was also one of the most prominent performers in the West Zone circuit last year, setting a high benchmark for his peers.
But it is his recent form that has truly cemented his position as the leader of the pack.
The “Trinity” Run: A Hat-trick of Hundreds
Leading up to this selection, Vivaan displayed a masterclass in batting during the U14 MCA Invitation League while captaining Trinity to the title. In a display of sheer dominance, he single-handedly steered his team through the knockout stages with a hat-trick of centuries in the most pressure-filled matches:
• Quarter Finals: A mammoth 205* (Not Out)
• Semi-Finals: A match-winning 190
• The Final: A composed 101 to seal the trophy
These aren’t just numbers; they reflect the mindset of an athlete who prepares for the “400-ball day” to dominate a match.
A Culture of Excellence
Vivaan’s journey from a swimmer who picked up a bat during the lockdown to leading his state twice reflects the High-Performance culture at JSF and Trinity. It highlights a system that prioritizes mental conditioning and technical discipline.
Mentor’s Word
Speaking on this achievement, Sourabh Jagdale, stated:
“Being appointed captain once is an opportunity; retaining that captaincy for a second year is a statement. It proves Vivaans standard.
Vivaan understands that the badge on the chest carries weight. What makes me proud isn’t just his 200 or his 190, but his hunger to reset and start from zero every single day. He represents the true JSF spirit; process, patience, and performance. I am sure Vivaan’s Leadership and his batting performance will surely bring the cup home for Maharashtra.”
The entire JSF family wishes Captain Vivaan and Team Maharashtra the very best for the West Zone campaign in Ahmedabad.
