Jagdale Sports Foundation (JSF) and Trinity Cricket Academy are proud to announce that two of our standout young athletes, Vishwajeet Jagtap and Pratik Kadlak, have been selected to represent Team Maharashtra in the prestigious BCCI U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy 2025–26, which will be held in Vijayawada.
This achievement reflects the growing strength of the JSF training system and our commitment to long-term athlete development.
Vishwajeet Jagtap: A Journey of Consistency and Excellence
A medium-fast bowler known for his accuracy, discipline, and consistent wicket-taking ability, Vishwajeet Jagtap continues to make steady progress in his cricketing career. His selection this year marks his third consecutive year representing Maharashtra. He has already played in the U-16 category in the 2024–25 season, along with representing Maharashtra at the U-14 level in 2023–24.
Across multiple MCA Invitation tournaments, Vishwajeet has been one of Trinity’s most dependable bowlers. His ability to strike early, maintain a strong line and length, and perform under pressure has helped Trinity secure several important wins. Coaches at JSF and Trinity describe him as a player who combines skill with remarkable maturity. He understands match situations well, adapts quickly, and leads with confidence whenever he has the ball in hand.
Pratik Kadlak: A Fearless All-Rounder in the Making
Pratik Kadlak’s selection is the result of his powerful and consistent performances across the past season. He is known for his fearless batting style and natural ability to hit the ball hard and long. One of his most memorable achievements is his remarkable 253-run innings in the MCA Invitation tournament. This extraordinary performance highlighted his ability to dominate bowling attacks and build long, match-defining innings.
Pratik has also performed strongly in domestic fixtures, scoring heavily with multiple centuries and contributing with the ball as well. His willingness to take risks, his aggressive approach, and his confidence at the crease make him a promising young all-rounder for Maharashtra.
A Proud Moment for JSF and Trinity Cricket Academy
The selection of Vishwajeet and Pratik is a reflection of their dedication and hard work, as well as the support and structure provided by the combined JSF and Trinity training ecosystem.
This has helped both players strengthen their technique, improve their decision-making, and develop the mindset required at higher levels of competition. Both athletes have benefitted from structured coaching, individualized guidance, match exposure, and a clear development pathway.
JSF and Trinity are proud to see our athletes transition from academy-level cricket to state-level representation. It reflects our belief in hard work, discipline, and a long-term training approach that shapes athletes into confident performers.
Moving Forward: A New Chapter for Both Athletes
As Vishwajeet and Pratik prepare to compete in the Vijay Merchant Trophy in Vijayawada, the entire JSF and Trinity fraternity extends heartfelt congratulations and best wishes. We are confident they will continue to uphold the values they have learned here. These values include commitment, discipline, resilience, and humility.
