
Pune, Maharashtra – On July 6, 2025, the Jagdale Sports Foundation (JSF) hosted its historic first-ever JSF Awards Ceremony, a momentous event celebrating 20 powerful years of unwavering commitment to Maharashtra cricket. Held at the home of dreams and discipline, the ceremony honored the foundation’s legacy and recognized the exceptional talents poised to shape the future of the sport.
Founded in Pune by visionary leader Mr. Dnyaneshwar Jagdale, JSF has been a pioneering force, redefining sports coaching through the wisdom of former national cricketers, elite coaches, and respected mentors. The foundation’s impact is evident in the numerous players trained at JSF who now compete on the national and international stage.
A significant milestone in JSF’s journey was its collaboration with Trinity in 2020, a transformative decision spearheaded by Mr. Sourabh Jagdale, Mr. Dhanraj Deshmukh, and Mr. Dnyaneshwar Jagdale. This partnership has been instrumental in identifying and nurturing hundreds of young cricketing talents across Maharashtra through rigorous training, scholarships, and competitive platforms. The strategic and performance-driven operations of Sourabh Jagdale & Group ensure JSF continues to build not just players, but champions.
The celebration extended beyond awards, offering invaluable insights from leading figures in sports science. Attendees had the privilege of learning from:
- Dr. Apurva Kulkarni, a renowned Sports and Exercise Medicine expert and physio for the Indian Women’s Tennis Team and other elite athletes.
- Mr. Atharva Jadhav, a dynamic Strength & Conditioning Coach with international expertise and dual certifications from ASCA and ISSA.
- Mr. Amogh Dani, a highly respected Sports Nutritionist who shared insights on strategic fueling for optimal performance.
- Mr. Alex Varghese, an acclaimed Transformation and Mental Toughness Coach, who delivered a powerful session on the psychology of peak performance and leadership.
A highlight of the event was the address by Mr. Jaidep Narse, a celebrated first-class cricketer and former Maharashtra cricket team coach with an 18-year legacy. Mr. Narse, who has mentored national stars like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ankit Bawane, and Rahul Tripathi, and even JSF’s own Mr. Sourabh Jagdale, offered inspiring words and blessings to the budding cricketers.
The heart of the ceremony was the JSF Athlete Award Segment, where dedication, performance, and passion were recognized. Among the honorees were:
- Yash Jagdale, recognized for consistently being among the top run-scorers in the Maharashtra Cricket Association League and his record-smashing 155 runs in a T-20 match.
- Advait Dhere, a talented left-arm spinner who bagged 40 wickets in the MCA Under-19 League this season.
- Vishwajeet Jagtap, the 15-year-old “Baramati Express” known for his explosive pace.
- Vedant Suntale, an all-rounder and natural leader who has captained Trinity’s junior teams.
- Advik Tiwari, who has represented Maharashtra U16 and scored over 400 runs in the U19 Maharashtra League this season.
- Vivaan Hansalia, a rising icon at just 14, with a jaw-dropping 305-run innings and captaincy of the Maharashtra U14 team.
- Kulwansh Wakode, a consistent performer with 743 runs in the MCA Under-14 League and multiple Player of the Match titles.
- Pratik Kadlak, who delivered an awe-inspiring 253 runs in the MCA U16 Invitational Tournament.
- Veer Shinde, a dedicated Under-12 performer with 773 runs in local tournaments.
- Prajwal Kadam, a consistent bowler with 74 wickets in 77 matches, including a remarkable 7-wicket haul.
- Darsh Mangal, with a phenomenal 125 wickets in 99 matches over three and a half years with JSF.
- Bhujang Dulgude, a prolific run-scorer for Trinity Cricket Academy with 5,655 runs in 240 matches, including a magnificent 227-run knock.
- Sharayu Gaikwad, a 10-year-old all-rounder whose talent earned her selection for the Vidarbha Cricket Association U15 team.
- Prem Ighe, a wicketkeeper-batsman and Captain of Team Trinity, who scored over 300 runs in just 4 innings in the U16 MCA League.
- Sangram Kamble: U19 Batsman of the year.
- Rajveer Deshmukh: U19 Best all rounder of the year.
