At just 22 years old, Yash Jagdale is fast becoming a name to watch in Maharashtra’s cricketing circles. With remarkable consistency and unmatched determination, Yash has carved out a stellar path for himself—one inning at a time.
Representing Team Varroc in the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Open Age Group League during the 2023-2024 season, Yash made a strong statement with the bat. Across nine matches, he amassed 739 runs at an average of 61.58, including two centuries and four half-centuries. His standout performance came in the semi-final, where he smashed 175 runs, showcasing his temperament in pressure situations. These performances made him the second-highest run-scorer in the league—a feat that earned him selection in the Maharashtra Under-23 squad for the prestigious C. K. Naidu Trophy.
But Yash didn’t stop there.
In the following MCA season, he raised the bar even higher. In the multi-day format, he scored 681 runs in 9 matches with an even more impressive average of 68. Transitioning seamlessly into the Maha T20 tournament, Yash proved his versatility across formats. He tallied 349 runs in the season, including a blistering 155-run knock in the quarterfinal against Deccan Gymkhana, followed by a commanding 85 in the semi-final against Kolhapur. Leading from the front, his batting heroics and sharp captaincy guided Team Varroc to a runner-up finish in the Maha T20 (2025 edition).
Yash’s rise through the ranks is no surprise to those who know the Jagdale family. He carries forward the legacy of his elder brother, Sourabh Jagdale, a consistent performer in MCA cricket and the Director of Jagdale Sports Foundation (JSF). Inspired by his brother’s discipline and guided by his own drive, Yash has previously represented Maharashtra at the Under-14, Under-16, and Under-19 levels.
